Earlier in the month I re-started my #BGenerous giving but turned it up a notch when I really started to notice more and more homeless in the town that I live. I was giving money and buying a few cups of coffee and tea to complete strangers but that all changed on a rainy day when I saw a few homeless men sleeping in the rain.
Every day I walk by these gentlemen and don’t say a word. Today I just had to go grab a few warm breakfasts and head back in the rain to make sure that they had something to eat. One person turned me away to let me know that he couldn’t take my food. I sat it on his lap and wished him well.
Since then, I decided giving gift certificates for the local supermarket, diners, sandwich shops and KFC would be best. Then, I knew they would go eat.
Please give when you can. It doesn’t have to be this big huge gesture…just something small. Believe me, it will make a bigger difference than you think.
