On Wednesday, 17 May 2017, the Bermuda Cancer & Health Centre had their ribbon cutting for the islands first radiation therapy unit. To date, Relay For Life of Bermuda has donated 95% of the funds raised over the past 3 years to this initiative. Last weekend, Relay completed their 4th annual event, raising to date over $480,000, bringing the total raised since 2014 to approximately $2,200,000.
The radiation therapy unit will cost $10,000,000 with a total of $7,000,000 (+/-) already raised. (Bernews video below)
