When Michele, a 45 year old Mother of three was diagnosed with late-stage cervical cancer, she took this as a call-to-action. She decided that she would travel to India to paddle board over 700 miles down the River Ganga, breaking a World Record and spreading awareness about this disease that was going to kill her. This is how she became known as Lady Ganga. Three years after her death, high in the Himalayas, a woman’s life would be saved thanks to Lady Ganga and a world wide movement to eliminative cervical cancer was launched.
Earlier in the year we backed a Kickstarter campaign which raised funds to make the below mini documentary.
As most of my closest friends and family know, Cancer is what started me on the path of being a B-Antopropist and giving back to the community. It is also what drove me to bring Relay For Life of Bermuda to Bermuda, which has raised over $1,200,000 since 2014 to bring radiation therapy to Bermuda… Now that the following has been completed by Frederic Lumber and his amazing team, we are now ready to share the story in both Bermuda and around the world.
Please take 15 minutes to watch the below and share.
