It’s time to #FightDirty

Over the past nine years, all of you have redefined what it means to fight dirty water.

You’ve empowered small local NGOs to bring clean water to entire regions of their countries.

You’ve helped pave the way to remote sensor technology that tells us when something goes wrong at a water point so we can keep water flowing.

You’ve sold lemonade, talked to your classmates, rallied your customers, and pledged your birthdays to raise money.

This 10th anniversary campaign is a celebration of the heroes who’ve stood up to dirty water in the past. It’s also a call to arms for even more people to stand up with us in the future.

#FightDirty is a movement. We’re going to speak louder, get messier, and work harder so we can take a massive step closer to bringing clean water to the 663 million people who still live without it.

Everything kicks off on next Tuesday, March 22nd, and we’re going to need your help spreading the word.

Get ready to #FightDirty.

Why Water?

663 million people in the world live without clean water.1

That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. Or, twice the population of the United States. The majority live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep kids out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick.

But access to clean water means education, income and health – especially for women and kids.
