When I created The Plan [b] Project back in 2011, my theme song was “Imagine” by John Lennon.

Imagine was John’s best-selling single of his solo career and its lyrics encourage the listener to imagine a world at peace without the barriers of borders or the divisions of religion and nationality, and to consider the possibility that the focus of humanity should be living a life unattached to material things.

Wow…something we are still trying to accomplish in today’s society.

It is hard to believe that it was 35 years ago today that John left this earth.  I remember the day.  I was 12 years old and in middle school.  My music teacher was crying when we got to class.  I was puzzled why it impacted so many people back then, but understand today.

John Lennon

I am not going to use this post to discuss the current gun violence that appears to be normal daily news…but over 1,000,000,000 deaths in the past 35 years by gun violence should really open a few eyes.

Back to John.  I was shocked to hear that John was not always the person that everyone though he was.  The “give peace a chance”, “imagine”, etc. kind of guy..  Here is a Lennon blog post from 2012.
